Student Performance Objectives:
The teacher candidate will provide an overview of the Modeling
Method of Physics Instruction for high school students.
The teacher candidate will identify sources of teaching materials for
the Modeling Method
of Instruction.
The teacher candidate will distinguish the Modeling Method from other methods
on the basis of conceptual models and multiple representations.
The teacher candidate will describe the stages of model development (including
model development and deployment).
The teacher candidate will describe the general nature of Socratic dialoguing.
The teacher candidate will describe recommended procedures for engaging students as active questioners in Socratic dialogues.
