Electrostatics Resources with a Benjamin Franklin Twist

Rebecca Wenning-Vierya (2007 PTE graduate) made the following resources available following an autumn 2009 teacher workshop at the ISAAPT section meeting in East Peoria. She encourages use of Bob Morse's collection of Benjamin Franklin's letters on electrostatics, video clips, etc. http://www.tufts.edu/as/wright_center/personal_pages/bob_m/ as well as Physics Education Technology simulations (PhET) http://phet.colorado.edu/index.php

Rebecca provided the following resources of her own creation:

Benjamin Franklin's Letters.ppt (PowerPoint with excerpts she used during the workshop)
Static Electricity Concept Map Supplement.doc (Diagrams for sketching electron flow in a capacitor)
Static Electricity Stations.doc (Stations Lab she referenced)
Balloons and Static Electricity.doc (Worksheet for PhET)
Sticky Tape Lab.doc (lab referenced by a number of workshop participants)
Stick Tape Answers.doc (answers to Sticky Tape Lab)
LightningRodsReading.doc (reading worksheet associated with a historical article ("Harnessing the Light") from an AAPT journal -- It is accessible online through your AAPT membership)
