Performance Objectives

• The teacher candidate will distinguish between curriculum and instruction.
• The teacher candidate will explain the role of the theory base in the development of curriculum.
• The teacher candidate will characterize at least one curriculum development process.
• The teacher candidate will identify the various internal and external influences on curriculum.
• The teacher candidate will explain what is meant by the "hidden curriculum" and provide an example.
