Clinical Interactions Guidelines:

Six supplemental clinical hours must be carefully chosen by the student from the Clinical Interactions Handbook. These clinical experiences constitute interactions between clinical students, cooperating teachers and their students. As you select your clinical experiences from the Handbook, keep in mind the SLP Midterm and Final Assessment Form and the fact that supplemental clinical experiences will be used primarily to characterize your performance. It is these activities that primarily will serve as the basis of your cooperating teacher's recommendation for Admission to Professional Studies. You must select a sufficiently wide range of activities from the Handbook to allow your cooperating teacher to make a overall assessment of your capabilities as a prospective teacher. If you provide no basis for some of these assessments, your coopering teacher will have no option but to give you a score of "zero" for that component of the assessment.
